When I was asked to serve as the fall 2019 Men’s Lay Director, I reflected back to the spring of 2012, when I came through on GB 151. I thought about how this community and movement has blessed me so richly with so many new brothers and sisters in Christ, and how many of the relationships that I cherish in my life are because I said YES to attending the Great Banquet.
I was humbled and honored to be selected and I will cherish the memories of the weekend forever. God stretched me and grew me in him even more than ever before through the team building and formation of HIS team. In the 9 weeks of meetings God’s team was exactly who I needed in my life at that time. The transparency of the men that God assembled for me was exactly what the guests of GB 189 needed on their weekend!
It was such a blessing to set back and watch God at work throughout the weekend and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to serve as Lay Director of Great Banquet 189!
